Finally, Miss Hoggy has arrived in Tbilisi, Georgia. And guess what awaits me at the airport?
Wow, will definitely need to check the wineries out here. And the vineyards. A girl can take a hint, you know, Georgia.
Anyhow, while waiting for my luggage, I have this set butterflies in my stomach. This is an exotic country, that I’ve only known from travel documentaries and the atlas, and I barely speak the language. What would it look like? Can I find that picture I saw in the Lonely Planet guidebook, here? Is it true that I’m here, in a country that has her borders closed for 70 years? That train of thoughts, yeap, they were travelling as fast as the bullet train, while waiting for my baggage. What a nice 15 mins that is.
So after baggage, it’s currency time, right? It’s just changing Aussie dollars ain’t easy around here. They mostly deal with Euro, USD or Russian rubles. Well, 15 minutes later, I did have some Georgian lari on me. Note to self, maybe change some AUD to USD, those dollars could be useful.
Finally, with my Aussie dollars changed and I’m out of the airport, I’m ready for Georgia. Bring it on! Let me see what you have in store after your bottle of wine.
Check it out in the next post.
