These are recipes for the Boryeong Mud Cake, inspired by its Annual Mud Festival in July. Unlike any traditional mud cake, this cake is made out of mud, not chocolate.
250g mud, softened
1 cup water, from the beach nearby
(Mixture readily available at all good wells around Mud Festival)
1 your choice old bathers (swimming suits, t-shirts etc.)
1 friend with ticket
2 1/2 cup griminess
No mysophobia (fear of griminess) is allowed.
Then head to the ticket booth and get your tickets. While seeing those slides, yeah, get really pumped up! Today is no day to think about how to keep yourself clean. So no mysophobic is allowed.
But Miss Hoggy failed Recipe 1 because the tickets were SOLD OUT!!! Will try again next year.
Recipe 2: In events of sold-out tickets.
Same as recipe 1.
1 friend with old bathers
1 choice of old bathers (swimming suit, old t-shirts etc.)
1 kg people-watching skills
1 very hungry tummy.
No hydrophobia is allowed
Again, slap Mixture A onto your body. You don’t want to look un-muddy in a Mud Festival.
Change into your old bathers. Add it your kilo of people watching skills. These are what you would see.
Next, bring your hungry tummy and go to any nearby seafood restaurant. If you can’t mud it, at least treat yourself to yummy food. Boryeong is known for her seafood restaurants, so unlike a certain ticket, it’s not likely to sell out. Fool-proof mud cake satisfaction.
Before I forget, both Mud cake recipes are bake-free, because Koreans love their parasols (hating the sun, at the same time)
